Another Successful Kabrew. Dead on Friday (which is typical) packed on Saturday, but plenty of fun both days. Many notables, that I currently can't remember (see, notable right). Logistically uneventful, until the return trip home. The 10 year anniversary of Kabrew is also the 10 year anniversary of the KaTrailer's maiden voyage. The beloved KaTrailer is the hill-billy re-purposed snowmobile trailer used to carry the numerous personally owned boats that make our trip. We were only an hour from home, feeling pretty good about ourselves having exited the freeway to avoid a stand-still due to an accident ahead (Google Waze to the rescue), when on the on-ramp I see a small tire in my mirror... rolling along, but not where it should be (attached to the trailer). This lead to a quick pull-over (KaTrailer was down on the leaf spring). After retrieving the tire, which was now in the median between traffic lanes on the freeway, I noticed how screwed we were. It was a clean break at the axle. The trailer had to be left there. More driving for me to retrieve the trailer with a rented flat-bed, but I was able to get it back in the garage by 1AM.

So Kabrew 11 will now be the maiden voyage with the much improved KaTrailer. Everything below the spring shackles is new. Springs, Axles, Wheels, Tires... All new and ready to roll. I've got so much fresh coin in the thing, I'm seriously considering getting the grinder, sand-blaster, and paint out. Make it a little bit more deserving of a tug behind my beloved Avalanche.

Kabrew 10 was 9 Kabrewers Strong.
